7 - Seed Stitch Square - Grey (I cast on 33 sts over the recommended 27)

8 - Double Moss Stitch Square - Lipstick Pink (again, I cast on 33 over the stated 27, in order to make a 15cm square)

Motherhood

Today I felt Motherhood truly, deeply. Sat here, in the same spot on the couch, my imprint left in it whenever I stand. My small baby Hoot, feeding her while I feed myself a pasta dish that took 15 minutes to cook (bacon, chicken and leek, with just a dash of cream in case you're wondering). Looking at my pint of apple cider just out of reach on the coffee table, which is home to a muslin and crumbs leftover from the day's snacking.

Tomorrow I will balance Hoot on my shoulder while playing cars with The Squid, I will once again vacuum the crumbs up, I will type one handed messages on Facebook. 

And will count myself extremely lucky. I am so in love with being a mum. It's tiring and mentally exhausting, but the joy I get back is ten-fold. I love my job.
